Hershey Donates Milk Chocolate Super Hero Bars to Front-Line Workers

HERSHEY, Pa. —The Hershey Co. is partnering with DC Comics to launch Super Hero Milk Chocolate bars—and front-line workers will get first dibs.

The candy will feature seven superheroes: Batman, Wonder Woman, The Flash, Green Lantern, Superman, Aquaman and Cyborg. But the real superheroes amid the coronavirus crisis—including healthcare workers, police officers and firefighters—will be the first to receive the chocolate as a “thank you” for their heroic efforts during the COVID-19 outbreak, Hershey said.

Hershey’s Milk Chocolate Super Hero Bars will be available nationwide this summer. The bars have a suggested retail price of $1.09 for a standard bar and $4.09 for a bag of snack-size candy.

In addition to donating the chocolate bars, the Hershey, Pa.-based company has donated millions in cash and product to benefit community safety and other healthcare organizations. It is also committing $1 million to acquire, install and staff a new manufacturing line dedicated to the production of face masks, which in many cities have become a requirement to wear in public to help stop the spread of COVID-19.
